PAWS for SJACS works closely with San Jose Animal Care & Services (SJACS) and local rescues to get adoptable animals into new homes. Our programs help reduce the number of animals entering the San Jose Animal Care Center (shelter), enrich the lives of those animals while they wait for new homes, and encourage animal rescue groups to take in animals from the shelter. All programs are focused on the goal of reducing the euthanasia (killing) of adoptable animals.

About
PAWS for SJACS is an all-volunteer 501(c)(3) organization. Our mission is to support and work with San José Animal Care & Services (SJACS) to reduce the number of homeless animals and to increase awareness of the value of companion pets in the home and community. To accomplish this, we create and fund various educational, medical, and other programs.
